喜报——我校学生在全国中小学英语演讲比赛中勇创佳绩

展现英语演讲魅力  激发学生学习热情

  

    在第十六届中国日报社“21世纪•新东方杯”全国中小学英语演讲比赛中，我校小学二部四年二班胡涵予同学以天津赛区决赛小学高年级组冠军的优异成绩成功晋级全国总决赛，并获得小学组高年级组全国二等奖；中学部九年二班宁昕同学以天津赛区初中组季军的优异成绩成功晋级全国总决赛，并获得初中组全国三等奖；中学部九年五班王姿怡同学获得天津赛区决赛初中组季军。

        In the 16thChina Daily “21stCentury ž NewOriental Cup” NationalHigh School and Primary School English Speaking Competition, the student HuHanyu from Class 2 Grade 4 in Primary Campus Two of TBFLS took the second placein the National Finals(High Grade Group in Primary School - Grade 4~6). Thestudent Ning Xin from Class 2 Grade 9 in Secondary School of TBFLS won theThird Class Prize in the National Finals (Junior School Group).  The student Wang Ziyi from Class 5 Grade 9 inSecondary School of TBFLS won the Third Place in the Finals of Tianjin (Junior SchoolGroup).

    此次比赛为我校参赛以来取得的最好成绩，共484名同学创下佳绩，喜获天津市决赛冠军、季军及一、二、三等奖的好成绩。在天津赛区决赛中，我校共9人荣获一等奖，42人荣获二等奖，29人荣获三等奖；在天津赛区复赛中共404人荣获一、二、三等奖；此外，共79名教师获指导教师奖。

       This is the best achievement our schoolhas made since the first participation, among which 484 students createhonorable achievements. In the Tianjin Regional Finals, 9 students won the firstprize, 42 students won the second prize and 29 students won the third prize. Inthe Tianjin Regional Semifinals, 404 students won the first prize, the secondprize and the third prize respectively. In addition, 79 teachers won the ExcellentGuide Teacher Award.

    “21世纪杯”全国中小学生英语演讲比赛由中国日报社于2002年创办，每年面向全国在校中、小学生举行。历年来，大赛得到了全国各地教育行政和学术部门及广大中小学校的普遍认可， 并得到国家教育部、国务院新闻办公室、国际知名英语教学机构及国内外著名高校、新闻界、英美使领馆的充分认可和大力支持。本届赛事的演讲主题分别为：高中组：One thing you need to know about China；初中组：Imagine 2030；小学组高年级组（4至6年级）：Somewhere I want to go；小学组低年级组（1至3年级）：A Special day at School。

         The speech topics of the competition areas follow: SeniorSchool Group：One thing you need to know about China; Junior SchoolGroup：Imagine 2030；High GradeGroup in Primary School - Grade 4~6：Somewhere I want to go；Low GradeGroup in Primary School - Grade 1~3：A Special day at School。

    此次比赛不仅展现了我校学生的英语水平，还激发了学生学习外语的热情。此次比赛取得的优异成绩，不仅有助于全面展示我校中小学英语教学水平和英语教学的成果，更有助于全面提高学生英语综合运用能力尤其是口语表达的能力，推动我校英语教学走上一个新台阶。

       Thiscompetition displays the English level of our students and inspires students’enthusiasm of learning English as well. The honorable achievements we haveachieved not only contribute to showing the high teaching level andaccomplishment of our school, but also contribute to improving the Englishintegrated applied abilities, especially in spoken English and promoting theEnglish teaching of our school on a new step.
